3D printed parts are for prototyping and decorative use. Layer One does not guarantee load-bearing performance for safety-critical applications unless explicitly certified.

1. Service Description

Layer One provides on-demand 3D printing services through our online platform. You may upload 3D model files (STL/OBJ formats), select materials, colors, finishes, and quantities, then receive instant pricing or request custom quotes. We also offer pre-designed products available for purchase. By using our platform, you agree to these terms in full.

2. Manufacturing Policy

Orders are processed based on your uploaded 3D model files. Our automated pricing system calculates costs based on volume, material properties, and selected options. While we verify files for technical printability, you remain responsible for the geometric accuracy, design functionality, and intellectual property rights of your models. We reserve the right to reject files that violate our acceptable use policy.

3. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to your uploaded designs. By uploading files, you grant Layer One a limited license to reproduce your designs solely for the purpose of fulfilling your orders. We will not share, sell, or use your designs for any other purpose without your explicit consent. You represent that you own or have permission to use all uploaded content and that it does not infringe on third-party rights.

4. Order Acceptance, Pricing & Errors

All orders are subject to acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason at our sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to, orders where we suspect fraudulent activity, violation of our acceptable use policy, or in the event of errors.

Layer One specifically reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order if we determine that the price or other information provided on the platform was incorrect due to a typographical error, software glitch, or automated pricing calculation failure. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is cancelled, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge.

Prices displayed are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Quoted prices for custom RFQs are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

5. Cancellations & Modifications

You may request order cancellation before production begins. Once an order enters the production queue, cancellation may not be possible. Cancellation requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Order modifications (material changes, quantity adjustments) must be requested immediately and are subject to approval based on production status.

6. Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom nature of 3D manufacturing, refunds are not provided for design errors in your uploaded files or dissatisfaction with print results that match your specifications. If a print fails due to manufacturing error, material defect, or damage during shipping, Layer One will provide a reprint or credit at our discretion. Claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery with photographic evidence.

7. Shipping & Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates only and begin after payment confirmation and file approval. We are not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs, or events beyond our control. Risk of loss transfers to you upon delivery to the carrier. You are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

8. Limitation of Liability

Layer One's liability is limited to the purchase price of the affected order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. 3D printed parts are provided "as-is" for prototyping, visual models, and non-critical applications only. We make no warranties regarding structural performance, load-bearing capacity, or fitness for safety-critical use cases.

9. Acceptable Use Policy

You may not use our services to produce items that: violate laws or regulations, infringe intellectual property rights, pose safety hazards, contain offensive content, or replicate regulated items (weapons, medical devices, currency). We reserve the right to refuse orders that violate this policy.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Melbourne, VIC. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in full effect.
