Injection Moulding

Volume production.Consistent results.

When your design is validated and you need hundreds of identical parts, injection moulding is the right next step. We coordinate with trusted Australian manufacturers on your behalf — mouldability review to production run.

When injection moulding makes sense

Injection moulding is the dominant manufacturing method for plastic parts at volume for a reason: once tooling exists, the per-unit cost drops dramatically, and every part produced is dimensionally identical to the last.

The tradeoff is the upfront tooling investment and a minimum viable quantity. If you're still validating your design or need fewer than 500 units, our low volume production service will get you there faster and cheaper.

Minimum 500 units per run — injection moulding's economics only work at volume

Tooling cost is a one-time investment — unit cost drops significantly as quantity increases

Design must be reviewed and approved for mouldability before quoting final tooling cost

Lead time includes tooling fabrication — plan for 3–4 weeks from quote approval

Need fewer than 500 units? Our low volume production service may be the better fit

How it works

01

Submit via RFQ

Send us your design files, target quantity, and material requirements. If you don't have a file yet, our 3D modelling service can get you print-ready first.

02

Mouldability review

We review your design for injection moulding compatibility — draft angles, wall thickness uniformity, gate placement, sink risks, and parting line logic. Issues are flagged and resolved before tooling begins.

03

Tooling fabrication

Mould tooling is fabricated through our trusted manufacturing partners. Tooling typically takes 2–3 weeks and is costed into your quote upfront.

04

Sample approval

First-article samples are sent for your review and sign-off. Dimensional inspection and fit checks happen before full production runs begin.

05

Production run

Once approved, the full production run is completed with batch quality checks. Parts are delivered to your door.

Common applications

Consumer Products

Enclosures, housings, and components for retail products that need repeatable quality at scale.

Industrial Components

High-volume replacement parts, fittings, and assemblies for industrial equipment.

Medical Devices

Precision plastic components for medical and diagnostic equipment with tight tolerances.

Electronics Enclosures

Custom-moulded enclosures for PCBs, control panels, and consumer electronics.

B2B Supply Contracts

Ongoing production runs for businesses supplying components to larger manufacturers.

Scale-up from Prototyping

Moving from validated 3D-printed prototypes to consistent, cost-effective production units.
